Introducing: The Impact Committee & Impact Network
The vision for the Waukee Community Schools Foundation is to become the go-to nonprofit within the district, which includes students, families, and district employees across Clive, Urbandale, Waukee, and West Des Moines. One of the ways we plan to do this is to become a resource network on behalf of the district.
When there is a need, an idea, or an opportunity identified by the district that would serve students, educators, district employees, or our buildings, we want to be part of meeting that need, realizing the idea, and pursuing the opportunity.
When there is a resource available within our community, which could be material, a skillset, time, volunteer hours, or more, we want to help facilitate the connection of these resources to the identified needs, ideas and opportunities.
To this end, we are excited to announce the official launch of the Impact Committee and Impact Network!
The Impact Committee is a team of people, led by members of our Board of Directors, who meet monthly to curate the needs and opportunities identified by the district. The Committee will build them into our website for the Network to tackle and help facilitate the connection between the need and the resource.
The Impact Network is a roster of people from across our communities who want to be notified when there is a need, idea, or opportunity that they may be able to connect to a resource. Think of it as an army of volunteers who are ready to respond whenever there’s a need!
